There are exercises to develop specific aspects of technique and some short, original pieces in which to use these skills. There are sections on the notation of harmonics, principles of fingering and how to maintain one's technique. The book sets out to help a wide range of students and teachers, but is not intended for actual beginners, as the contents progress gradually towards ways of acquiring various virtuoso techniques.  With CD.
